smith family session- orchard / baseball field / camping - utah family photographer

we really did do it all with this family session. abby thought the orchard would be a fun place for the picnic & camping 'scenes' but she wanted to make sure we hit up the baseball field for her little guy, Boston. mamas really do know best...... Boston LOVED playing ball and this was by far his favorite part of the session. we had lots of fun & I honestly could have shot these guys all night--- they were so dang cute together! we started off with a little picnic, followed by reading books, roasting s'mores, & star gazing by the camp fire, and ended the night off with a little batting practice at the ball field. thanks for being so fun, smith family!

I don't think I've been around a group of people that were as happy & excited for the married couple as this one. This cute couple has so many loved ones rooting for them... it was so fun to be a part of their big day. They even had family fly in from AUSTRALIA to celebrate with them. Now that's some serious L.O.V.E. I thought for sure my 3 hours worth of parking meter quarters I brought would be plenty... but after it took foreverrrrr to get all the family and group shots {I'll show you the group shot for proof someday}, I had to have my cute sister find some more quarters from the bride & groom's family & friends before I got a ticket! Thanks again for those quarters:) I had a blast sharing in your special day! Congrats to the newest addition to the Mailei family. May this be the beginning of a wonderfully long & happy life together!

mother's day CONTEST

alright--- i've been wanting to do a fun contest to spice things up a bit... since mother's day is this weekend, i figured... what the heck?! we might as well celebrate it! moms are some of the most important people in our lives... so in honor of your moms AND being wonderful moms... the lucky winner of this contest will win a free session with me! 

What exactly is up for grabs??

-{Any type} hour long session {UT}****{see below if you don't live in UT}

-20 hi-res pictures on cd w/ copyright release

-and to celebrate moms: a free 8x10 OR 11x14 of your favorite shot

Who can enter the contest?

-Anyone who has a mom:)

{Session will take place in UT in June or July}

{in AZ the next time we come visit}

How to enter:

-email me the ONE picture you want to enter into the contest {either of you & your mom OR you & your kids--- for you ladies of course}

-i will post all of the pictures into my 'mother's day contest' album on my photography facebook page on Friday, May 6th {or whenever you send them to me.. .but the longer your picture is in the album, the longer it has to be 'LIKED'}.

-the picture with the most 'LIKES' at the end of the contest will win the free session of your choice!

****-if you don't live in the Utah area... you can STILL enter and GIFT the session to a friend/family that does if you are the lucky winner. SO STILL ENTER!

-In order to get people to 'LIKE' your photo... you must have people first 'LIKE' my photography page... and then also 'LIKE' your photo.

summer mini sessions {updated dates}

i know it might seem a tad early to announce SUMMER mini sessions when there is still 10 inches of snow on the ground here in montana. BUT--- baby guy will be making his debut here in the next couple weeks and i just wanted to get it all announced before life gets crazy around here.

 these mini sessions are perfect for a small family session--- especially those just looking to update their walls with a more recent family photograph. they are also great for a children's/sibling shoot to catch the fun stages that they are in, or even a baby session for those same reasons. you would be surprised at how many precious / different pictures we can get in just 30 minutes. a maternity session would also work for these as well.  feel free to bring different outfits to change into... just practice before the big day so you can change in a jiffy! locations will depend on the day and preference of those who book. i'm also thinking about adding an additional day in may in UT if that would work better for anyone as well, let me know.

I'm finally getting around to posting the rest of this session on the blog... it has been a crazy few days to say the least. Today is my Jonnie Belle's 2nd b-day so it's been a fun time around here:)

i honestly could have closed my eyes and pointed to any picture and posted it... these two made my job a CINCH! we found some fun locations in SLC and had a blast with this shoot. i had the hardest time picking which ones to put up... but this bunch is a pretty good overall look of what we got. thanks for letting me have fun with you guys!
